1Is there a charge for parents/guests who are just watching? What about children under 3?
We understand that children can not come to birthday parties without their parents. If your adult guests just want to come to watch, they may do so for free. There is no charge for guests who are just watching a birthday in one of the indoor areas. (No charge for guests under 3 or over 59 ever). We do, however, charge admission, so any guests from 3-59, who do not pay, will only be allowed on the farm during your birthday party and may not do the activities with the party (including but not limited to the hayride, corn maze, barrel rides, peddle go carts, and mini golf.)
2How much does it cost for extra guests to participate?
The discounted group rate is $9.00 per person (ages 3-59). You can choose to pay for extra participants or have them pay for themselves. If your party is in the outdoor garden area, you must meet the minimum requirements before getting the discounted rates.
3Which activities are included with the party?
All of the activities on the farm are included with the exception of the Giant Sling Shot (you can purchase 2 balls for $1 to sling) and the Paintball Shooting Range ($3 for 25 or $5 for 50).
4How long does a party last?
You may use the indoor party area for 2.5 hours (or you can rent it for more than 1 time slot). However, you and your guests (who’ve paid admission) are more than welcome to come early or stay after your party (during hours of operation) to play on the farm. You must watch the time and remove your personal items from the party area prior to the end of your 2.5 hours as we need to prepare for the next party.
5What is the indoor party area like?
The indoor party areas are located in our banquet facility, The Homestead of Radnor. This building is heated and cooled with indoor restrooms. There is also a full working kitchen that may be used upon prior request. The entire banquet room is 60 foot by 70 foot and can be comfortably divided into 4 sections with divider walls to hold 4 regular size parties or up to 300 guests if having a large party. Please let us know if your party will be larger than 50 when booking so that we can ensure that there is enough space/tables. We’re sorry, but we cannot add extra tables to parties where most of the adults are just watching the party for free. There are electrical outlets by the serving tables. The main room of The Homestead is not open to the public, although the restrooms are. There is a photo booth with props located in The Homestead for party use only. 6What are the party times for the indoor areas?

7What if it rains?
The beauty of renting an indoor space, is that there is no need to cancel for inclement weather. There will still be plenty to do undercover (and it should be less crowded). We suggest dressing for the outside weather and bring umbrellas to travel from building to building. Only party area building is heated/cooled.
8Where do we check in for the party and where should I tell my guests to go?
Everyone should check in at The Homestead building- 2866 State Route 203 Radnor. We will have a party host or cashier stationed at the entrance to welcome your guests. If your guests accidentally park in the public parking lot at the farm, they can check in at the ticket booth and walk to your party area. If you get to your party area early, please be respectful of parties finishing up prior to your party. You will be able to set up 15-25 minutes prior to your party. On the other end, please make sure you are finished and cleaned up by the end of your time slot so that the next party can set up.
9Is there a deposit?
There is a $75 non-refundable deposit for the indoor party. If you cancel at least 2 weeks prior to your party date, you may use your deposit toward admission to the farm on a visit during the same season.
10Can we bring our own food, drinks, and desserts to the farm?
Yes. There is electric available for crock pots. If you need to store anything in the refrigerator or freezer, please let your party host know and they will help with that. Keep in mind that you have 15-25 minutes to set up for your party, so you’ll want to keep it simple.
11Do you offer food?
Yes. We sell food at the farm during the weekends (and for large groups during the week). When ordering for a birthday parties or other group events, we need at least 1 week’s notice.
12Is there electricity available at the party areas?
Yes. There is electric available for several crock pots in the indoor party areas as well as in the garden area and at three of our campfire areas.
13What does a party host do?
Your party host will greet you, get you started, help take payment, help with food if you order from the Harvest Cafe, and clean up party area. (You should dispose of all trash in provided receptacles before leaving area.) Your party host will not stay with you during your whole party.
14Am I allowed to bring decorations?
Absolutely! Keep in mind that you only have 15 minutes to set up and a very short time to clean up at the end, so keep it simple. You may NOT hang decorations on the walls. Tape and other adhesives are not allowed on the walls.
15Will my party have an agenda?
You will not have a specific agenda, unless you create one. You may decide what works best for your party. That said, we recommend either doing activities that you want your entire group present for 1st or letting your guests know when and where those activities will take place, just in case anyone wanders off from your group. Let your guests know if you prefer they stay with you or if it’s ok for families to go off on their own. Children should always be accompanied by an adult.
16Can we have our birthday party at one of the outdoor campfire sites?
Yes, of course! You may reserve campfire sites for any amount of time (if available). These sites do not have shelter, so if the weather is poor you may need to cancel.
17Where do my guests and I park?
You and your guests may park in the parking lot at The Homestead of Radnor. 2866 State Route 203, Radnor, OH. The birthday child’s parents may temporarily park close to the building to load and unload party items.
18Do you have a projector to play a video/slide show?
We do! You must request this in advance so that we can place your party nearest the screen as well as to make sure your video is compatible.
19Do we need table coverings?
Yes. You will want table coverings. Each party area has 6 – 6 foot picnic style tables and 2 6-8 foot serving tables.
20When do we pay the final payment?
Our cashier and party host will add up your total during the party and you can pay the balance (minus the deposit) at the end of your party (or during a free moment during).
21Are there any pizza places that deliver to the farm?
Yes. There are three pizza places that deliver to our farm: Jet’s Pizza (740-363-1600), Del-Co Drive Thru (740-363-0033), Hungry Howies (740-363-8020). You must order these and set up delivery on your own. Please pay for the pizza's over the phone so that the delivery person does not have to find you, if you are not right at your party area. Our Party Hostesses will make sure your pizza is delivered to your area.
22Do we need plates, napkins and utensils
Yes! If you are serving food that requires these, you'll need to bring all of the above.
23Can we have birthday candles?
You may have birthday candles. We just ask that you prevent the melted wax from dripping on the furniture or floor and that you do not throw hot candles directly into the garage.
